Pulmonary Embolism
SYMPTOMS. The only sign may be breathlessness or it may include chest pain,
coughing, spitting of blood and fever.
CAUSES. It is a blood clot that is carried in the bloodstream to an artery
in the lung, usually, from deep in a leg vein where it was formed.
TREATMENT. Oxygen may be required.
.Pain relivers and anticoagulant drugs may be prescribed.
.Removal of the clot by surgery may be required.
